Is Mount Batur sunrise trekking suitable for beginners?
Yes. Mount Batur is a moderate sunrise trek and is suitable for first-time hikers with reasonable fitness. Trekking packages include a local mountain guide, headlamp, trekking pole, entrance ticket, breakfast, and water. If you prefer not to hike, the Jeep Sunrise Tour offers a sunrise experience without trekking.
What is included in the Mount Batur trekking price?
Join Trek and Private Trek include a local trekking guide, Mount Batur entrance ticket, headlamp, trekking pole, breakfast at the summit, mineral water, welcome drink, personal insurance for eligible ages, and taxes. Hotel pickup and the Natural Hot Spring are optional add-ons.
Can I add hotel pickup to my Mount Batur booking?
Yes. Hotel pickup can be added during booking. Select your pickup area and the available pickup option will be shown before you confirm your booking. Pickup times are usually around 00:30–02:00 AM depending on location.
Can I add the Natural Hot Spring?
Yes. The Natural Hot Spring is available as an optional add-on for IDR 150,000 per person.
What are the age requirements?
Join Trek and Private Trek: 10–65 years. Jeep Sunrise Tour: 3–70 years. Participants outside these age ranges cannot join the respective activity.
How difficult is the Mount Batur trek?
Mount Batur is a moderate trek. The climb takes place before sunrise and includes uneven volcanic terrain and uphill sections. A reasonable level of fitness, proper hiking shoes, and warm clothing are recommended.
What should I bring for the sunrise trek?
Bring hiking shoes, a warm jacket, long pants, a small backpack, and a camera. We provide a headlamp, trekking pole, mineral water, and breakfast.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Free cancellation and free rescheduling are available until 5:00 PM Bali time on the day before your trek. After 5:00 PM, a 50% refund applies. No-shows are non-refundable. If Mount Batur is officially closed, you can receive a 100% refund or free rescheduling. See our Refund Policy for full details.
How can I pay for my Mount Batur booking?
